Electric motorcycles are the lightest and least expensive of all electric vehicles. However there are inherent issues, such as the willamette valley is generally inhospitable for motorcycle riding for at least half the year. If the weather doesn't bother you though, check these out: |

Most attractive, 1981 Honda CM200T conversion. Option 1: Lead-Acid batteries. Approx 40 mile range. Option 2: Lithium-Ion batteries. Approx 300 mile range. |
Enclosed electric vehicles are generally constructed to the custom specifications of the individual, but conversions are a special challenge. Many vehicles were never meant to be electric, so converting them can be tricky. |

Our favorite project so far was the electric yellow Nova, a 1978 classic that hums as it floats down the road. This is an AC inverter powered conversion that runs on Lead Acid batteries at 120 volts DC input. Heavy, but fun to drive, even though it only gets about 100 miles per charge. |

While DC is much less expensive, and perfectly acceptable for in town driving. We cannot recommend DC systems for anyone that has to climb hills. The power consumption on DC systems decreases battery life, for the power draw increases geometrically as incline increases.

Bio-Diesel is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint while maintaining the power to tow heavy loads or travel great distances. Straight vegetable oil and waste vegetable oil conversions are an inexpensive and easy way to turn your existing diesel engine to a cheap mode of transportation. |

This 1991 Dodge 250 has been fully converted to operate on waste vegetable oil. The waste oil tank on this vehicle is capable of holding 50 gallons. This amount of fuel will provide 750 to 1000 miles of travel, and the capability of towing several tons on a trailer. Most recent trip: 2300 miles, towing 6 tons over the rocky mountains. |

For those interested in a more conventional mode of transportation. This 1985 Mercedes 300D was converted to run on waste vegetable oil. Capable of cruising down the highway at 80+ miles per hour and getting over 30 miles per gallon. This vehicle will carry a family, groceries, and anything else you may need to transport. |
